False Tips - Pros and Cons


There were periods when women could not boast with long and beautiful nails and that was until the 30s of the 20th century. The Nu Nails from America paved their triumphant way to the manicure sphere launched in 1934. Several decades later, within 70s-80s all women opted for the ultra long nails with versatile nail design color. That was not difficult when various approaches to extend nails were invented, such as acryl approach or modeling with synthetic hardeners that dry easily and fast.

Evolution of stick on nails

The history of false nails goes back to thousand years ago. So, there are facts that the Chinese were the first to experiment with long nails: they used to stick on false nails using fingerstalls made from silver, wax, ovalbumin and agar (gelling agent). During the time in Europe of the Middle Ages the nail tips cut were used to extend nails. They used to attach the cut nails to the nail plate which looked unnatural, surely. Later on the false nails were made from paper, flux and film strips. Marlene Dietrich and Greta Garbo enjoyed the false tips from the film strip.

Some time later all women had the chance to evaluate the safe and easy method which allowed having beautiful and well-cared nails invented incidentally in the 21st century. Today false nails is not something mind-striking and unusual procedure at beauty salons, though they have the story to tell that they were invented by the American dentist who accidentally had his nail injured and used acryl material to correct the nail. Fred Slack realized that his discovery is revolutionary in nail industry, and then he quitted with his dentistry and founded the first company to launch the first false tips in 1951 to be absolutely new product.
